A little wildfire haze didn't get in the way of these mountaineers' good time! With sights set on the tippy top of Glacier Peak, local hiking enthusiast Vazul Szakacs (along with two adventure buddies) climbed 9,000 feet of elevation over 35 miles. Traversing pale blue ice sheets and winding through wooded trails, camping by alpine lakes along the way, the group was treated to some of the most spectacular, hard-earned views in the state.
