Not All Superheroes Wear Capes: Heather Macey

Sometimes the biggest heroes are the people who you see every single day. The "Not All Superheroes Wear Capes" contest, sponsored by Black Hills Home Services, sought to find people within your communities who were making a difference in the lives of those around them.

You responded by nominating the people you felt were positively impacting others through their job or volunteering. Now Seattle Refined is announcing the winners, who will receive a $1,000 prize and the recognition they deserve!

Heather Macey, a teacher in the Kent School District, was nominated by her friend Erinn Holdaas:

"Heather teaches fourth grade at Meridian Elementary School and has had to navigate a new way of teaching her students from home with a husband who is an essential worker. Along with her job, she has also made sure her three kids are able to continue their learning. In addition to that, she has organized meal deliveries to families who are in need from her school."

Speaking of making a positive impact in the community, the Black Hills Home Services team is dedicated to helping you with whatever you need in your home. Black Hills Home Services wants you to feel comfortable and happy where you live, from air conditioning and heating to air quality to electrical and plumbing projects.
