Shop Local: A Mother's Day Gift Guide from PNW businesses

With Mother's Day fast approaching (it's May 9, FYI) we've rounded up some local gift ideas to celebrate the mother figure in your life all while supporting PNW businesses. It's a win-win!

Starting with Lola's Traveling Tea Party, created by 5 local sisters who combine their creative talents of art, photography, food and a love for tea. The sisters have curated a beautiful afternoon tea experience in a box that offers all the fun and delicious details of a tea house delivered to your door. The Tea for Two boxes serve two people with all the essentials you need to set up your own beautiful afternoon tea at home or anywhere (how about mom's font yard?) The boxes include a variety of sweets, fresh fruit, scones with clotted cream, jam or honey, savory bites, tea sandwiches and selections of teas. Accompanied with a menu are instructions on how to set up the easy to assemble and reusable three-tiered tray, mini silverware, disposable cup and saucer, napkins, chocolates and flowers! What a gift! Shop these Tea for Two boxes at a Pop Up Event at Distant Worlds Coffeehouse on May 15.

Consider planning a day trip to Suncadia for the Mommy and Me, Paint & Sip Tea Party Saturday, May 8, 10:00am-12:00pm. Spend the morning with your family and paint with your little one. The artist will instruct you and your family with step by step instructions and you can work together to create a memorable masterpiece, something that mom will actually want to keep. The session comes with one paint-able tray and two paint-able teacups. Go all out for mom and stay the night and enjoy some family time around the fire pit and hit the spa up in the morning for some much needed relaxation time.
