Capitol Hill Block Party producers announce brand new Seattle music festival

From the producers who put on Capitol Hill Block Party, a new music festival is coming to our city this Labor Day Weekend.

Daydream State has announced the DAY IN DAY OUT festival, taking place at the Fisher Pavilion in Seattle Center Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4-5. The two-day lineup includes names like Kaytranada, Big Wild, Aminé, Travis Thompson, CHVRCHES and more.

"After an incredibly difficult year for artists, fans and our local creative community, we're excited to celebrate the return of live music by providing a new platform to revive the festival scene in Seattle," said Jason Lajeunesse, the executive director Daydream State.

Other festival features include an all-ages lawn, 21 and older VIP lounge, indoor/outdoor beer garden and food trucks.

The Seattle Fire Department is also offering 100 free one-day tickets to people who get their COVID-19 vaccine at the Welcome Back Week pop-up clinic sites later this month. DAY IN DAY OUT is also hosting the launch of Bloodworks Northwest's Music's In My Blood campaign, aiming to get 10,000 blood donors between Labor Day and the end of the year.
