'Bridgerton' fans, rejoice: Season 2 release date revealed

You couldn't look at social media in December 2020 without seeing something about Netflix's steamy, sexy and scandalous series, "Bridgerton."

Season one of "Bridgerton," from Shondaland starring Phoebe Dynevor as Daphne and Regé-Jean Page as Duke of Hastings, immediately captivated audiences worldwide. And fans won't have to wait much longer for more — the cast announced in a video via social media that season two will be released on Friday, March 25. This time around, the story is set to follow Lord Anthony Bridgerton's (Jonathan Bailey) journey for love.

Rejoice, dear readers!

While Daphne and Duke of Hastings' romance sure garnered attention, the show's Seattle tie may not have been as obvious.

Julie Pottinger — whose pen name is Julia Quinn — is the author behind the eight-book "Bridgerton" series. And she lives right here in Seattle! KOMO News' own Tammy Mutasa got to interview the powerhouse author all about her books and the show in February 2021.

"The show is just resonating with people in a way I never dreamed," Pottinger told Mutasa.

You can find the full Pottinger interview and story online.
