Statewide 'Shelter Open House' hopes to find hundreds of animals homes

On Saturday, October 5th - dozens of shelters across Washington will simultaneously open their doors for a special state-wide event aimed at increasing awareness at the plight of the numerous adoptable dogs and cats in Washington, and hopefully finding some of them homes.

We work with Pawsitive Alliance once a week to feature a #WhyNotMe Pet who has had an exceptionally hard time finding a home. You may have seen the pieces on Sam, Fancy, Tulip and Rush so far. But that is only one pet a week, and there are hundreds in the state who need and deserve homes too.

Enter this weekend's Shelter Open House, where participating shelters will be offering adoption specials, raffles, giveaways, fun activities and themed parties.
