Your Guide to the 125th Washington State Fair in Puyallup


Washington's Biggest Celebration is Back!

Are you ready, PNW? The Washington State Fair is back, and this year is bigger than ever as it celebrates 125 years! With rides, food, music, and new features, it's sure to be fun for everyone.

The Fair runs August 29 through September 21, 2025. The beloved Washington tradition has been around since the 1900s. Last year, nearly 912,000 visitors came to "Do the Puyallup," as locals still say.

The Fair also makes a meaningful impact on the community:

  • 37,000 pounds of food donated to those in need
  • 35 recycling bins filled with school supplies for local students (about 3,360 gallons of materials!)
  • Complimentary tickets for 700,000 students and 127,000 educators through the Fair’s education program

Whether it's an annual trip or you're visiting for the first time, the 2025 Fair promises unforgettable experiences from thrilling rides and delicious food to unique exhibits and live entertainment.

Group Tickets: Available for groups of 25+

Opening Weekend Highlights

The fun kicks off Friday, August 29, just in time for Labor Day weekend. Opening days are packed with excitement, perfect for families making memories, friends seeking adventure, or anyone hoping to take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the Fair. The same weekend also celebrates The Fair’s 125th anniversary.

Special Days & Deals for Labor Day Weekend:

KOMO's Opening Day Food Drive | 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Bring a non-perishable food donation for the Puyallup Food Bank and get free admission for all ages. Sponsored by Darigold and Puyallup Chocolates.

BECU Free Kids Weekend | Aug. 29–Sept. 1
Kids 18 and under get free admission, courtesy of BECU.

Military Appreciation Day | Monday, Sept. 1
Active, reserve, and retired military, National Guard members, dependents, and disabled veterans receive free admission with valid ID.

Note: The Fair will be closed September 2–3.

New for 2025

Our Food, Our Farms, Our Washington – Celebrating 125 years of agriculture. Free with admission. Open daily (weekdays 10:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m., weekends 9:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m.; after first Sunday 9:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m.).

Self-Guided Walking Tours App – Six themed tours (history, trends, foodie, family-friendly, sweets, murals). Free with admission; GPS maps and audio narration.

Opening Day Drone & Fireworks Spectacular – Aug. 29 only, with synchronized drones and fireworks; fireworks also every Friday at 10 p.m.

The 1900 Food Hall & Rooftop Bar – Six new eateries curated by Chef Mitch Mayers, plus a rooftop bar.

Do the Puyallup Stage Show & Party – Daily at 2:30 p.m. at the Fair Park Stage. Free with admission.

Concerts & Shows

The Columbia Bank Concert Series is one of The Fair’s biggest highlights, featuring 20 nights of top-name entertainers in music and comedy. From country and rock to pop and hip-hop, there’s something for every taste.

All concert tickets include Fair admission, so you can enjoy rides, exhibits, and food before or after the show. Each performance promises electrifying entertainment and unforgettable memories. Big names in entertainment are on the lineup, including TOTO & Christopher Cross, Ludacris, Darius Rucker, and Seattle's own Joel McHale.

Puyallup Rodeo | September 4–7

Get ready for heart-pounding action at the Puyallup Rodeo, part of the PRCA Cinch Playoff Series. Each of the five performances features top rodeo athletes competing in events like bull riding, bareback riding, barrel racing, and team roping.

The stakes are high: the top 24 contestants in each event compete for a chance to advance to the Governor's Cup in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, one of rodeo’s biggest honors. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the sport, this is where legends are made.

The Food

Anyone who remembers the catchy "Do The Puyallup" jingle already knows about Fisher Scones. But there's so much more to explore. The Fair is jam-packed with food and drink to please everyone in your group. Check out the many tasty options here.

Beyond the rides, rodeo, food and concerts, The Fair is brimming with Animals, Shopping, Entertainment and more. Attractions & Exhibits include Home Arts, The Farm at Sillyville, Face Painting and other family-friendly activities.
