Developing your own sense of style can be tricky to say the least - unless it comes naturally like these trendy Seattle Fashion Bloggers. That's why we've turned to these local ladies for their style secrets to help you dress to impress.

"Always be fearless when it comes to getting dressed. In a city like Seattle where grey skies and dark clothing are the norm an amazing pop of color or a bold accessory can have a major impact on your day." Blog: www.BloggerNotBillionaire.com (Image: @BloggerNotBillionaire)
"The best thing you can ever wear is confidence. For me, it’s never exactly about what you are wearing, it’s about how it makes you feel when wearing it. " Blog: www.morganlillian.com (Image: @morgan_lillian )
"Invest in your staple pieces and you'll find that you wear them 300 times over and it was worth every cent. Even heavy hitters out by thrifting at the Fremont market, etsy, or various vintage shops and you'll maintain a healthy relationship with your bank account" Blog: www.neondoves.blogspot.com (Image @Neon_Doves)
"My style tip is to repeat your favorite outfits and find new ways to wear them. When you wear the pieces you love, you appear more confident and feel your best. When you've nailed a look, snap a photo so you can remember what you liked about it. This will help you curate similar outfits that define your personal style" Blog: www.laceandpearlsblog.com (Image: Lace and Pearls / Luba Kochubey portraits)
"If you’re looking for a comfortable pair of heels this spring, I highly recommend shopping for a block heel. Whether you find a pair of mules or block heeled sandals, a thicker heel is so much more wearable and practical. My favorite places to shop for block heels are Nordstrom Rack, Nordstrom, and Target!" "Living here in Seattle where it's gloomy for at least half of the year, I like to brighten up my days by wearing vibrant colors. My tip is don't be afraid to incorporate colors into your wardrobe since they can really complement your skin tone and make you glow. If you're just starting out, test the waters with a colorful bag or pair of shoes, or try more muted colors like blush and olive. You'll be ready to work your way up to a bold top or dress in no time!" Blog: www.justatinabit.com (Image: @JustATinaBit)
"The Little Black Dress (LBD) is an essential item for any closet. Easy to dress up or down, find the perfect one (or five) and you're pretty much set for all occasions. Dress up with jewelry and heels for a night out in the City or dress down with sandals and a sun hat and you're set for a day at the beach. The perfect packing addition, the LBD is also ideal for layering. Think a little black slip dress over a white tee for a more casual look in Summer, or a long sleeved LBD over tights in winter paired with boots and snow" Blog: www.thestoryofmydress.com (Image: Story Of My Dress)
"Love the skin you’re in! As women we often struggle with daily insecurities, wanting to hide, cover-up or conceal our least favorite assets (arms, legs, etc.)…but what we fail to realize - the most attractive thing a girl can wear is confidence. So my advice is to wear what feels good, fits well and allows you to show off your style - not your insecurities. This is especially important for mothers - as I know raising two young girls…they are learning from us what it’s like to love our bodies" Blog: www.obsessedbyportia.com (Image: www.obsessedbyportia.com)
"If you are feeling apprehensive about trying a new trend, or something you might not normally wear but love anyways, just put it on and make yourself leave your house. There have been so many times where I get all dressed up in something new and different from my usual style, but then I second guess myself and get self conscious as soon as I start thinking about leaving my house. I end up changing in to something that I always wear, and nine times out of ten I end up super bummed about not just wearing what I wanted to originally. Its scary to try new things, but the easiest way to get comfortable in a new style is to just put it on your body, and leave your house! From that point on, its kind of a "fake it till you make it" sort of situation, and you'll get more and more comfortable trying new things!" "My favorite style tip is to try to think outside of the box when looking at individual pieces. For example, that super cute dress could double as a shirt or a shirt could be worn as a dress. Swimsuits can be worn as tops within outfits even if you're nowhere near the water. This not only stretches your wardrobe but it's fun to be able to create looks that are unique to the individual" Blog: www.chasingmyhalo.com (Images: Chasingmyhalo.com)
"Understanding how to dress for your body type will transform your wardrobe, shopping experience, and how you feel when you look in the mirror. For me, that means knowing how to dress my 5' 3'' frame - which has come with practice and some trial and error. I've learned in order to rock trends like wide leg culottes, I need to hem the length so the volume doesn't overwhelm me. If you're unsure how to dress your body, try talking to a stylist. It can be daunting but believe me, it's worth it! Celebrate how amazing you already are by giving your body the outfit it deserves" Blog: www.hotdresshotmess.com (Image: Michelle Dorman Photography)
“Style should far outweigh fashion. A person’s style is what makes them unique and what they feel most comfortable in. Once you identify that, you can start to play with fashion and test the limits a little bit. But it’s important to know yourself and what makes you stand out first and foremost, regardless of what anyone else is doing.” Blog: www.pumpsandplaid.com (Image: Pumps and Plaid)
“As much as possible, always apply your makeup in natural lighting. I love to apply mine by the window with the morning sun illuminating my face. When shopping for new makeup products, I also test out the products with a mirror near a window to make sure I get the perfect color match before purchasing. With a natural glow to your makeup that makes you look and feel great, you will step out of the door in confidence and smiling!” Blog: www.stylemissmolly.com (Image: Style Miss Molly)
"I swear by Oribe Cote d'Azur Hair Refresher in between washes. It smells like magic and provides UV benefits too! (Available locally at Coupe Rokei salon on 1st avenue). Also, I like low-maintenance beauty products in the summer. Instead of lipstick, I depend on long-lasting lip stains in bright colors" Blog: www.sydneylovesfashion.com (Image: Sydney Loves Fashion)
"I enjoy shopping in local stores whenever possible.  I find many unique pieces and feel good supporting the community that I live in.  My favorite Seattle boutiques include Queen Anne Dispatch, Pipe & Row in Fremont, and Horseshoe in Ballard.  And, you never know where you may discover a gem; for example, Queen Anne Frame has great accessories and gifts, many locally made" Blog: www.jenniferlovin.com (Image:   Jennifer Lovin)
"My style tip is that I always carry a little highlighter in my purse (my favorite right now is the ELF Baked highlighter, it is only $4!); I use it to freshen up my face by putting it on my eyelids for that extra shimmer, my upper lip if I don't have any gloss handy, and of course to my cheekbones to give a little glow. It's my secret go-to for a quick way to brighten up my face" Blog: www.bresheppard.com (Image: Bre Sheppard)
"Something I hear other people say is, "Oh, I could never pull that off!" I say that you can pull off anything you want to! I'm petite, so more often than not I hear about things I shouldn't be wearing. I challenge you to try a trend that you don't think you will like. And if you're afraid to take the monetary risk, try thrifting it! Seattle Goodwill and Value Village are my jam. Plus, you never know, you could score your next favorite piece! "
