It's the "first of many planned locations" for The House of LR&C.
Russell Wilson and Ciara started The House of LR&C with their mentor and friend, Christine Day, in 2020. The company aims to "democratize the retail industry," focusing on people, the planet and community.
And they just opened their first brick-and-mortar — officially open at University Village as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2.
"For us, Seattle is home. We've seen an incredible amount of support from this community given its home to Russell and Ciara," said Day. "With strong roots in the city, and our understanding that the future of retail is omnichannel, opening this store is a key step in our go-to-market diversification strategy."
The store will offer products from brands including Good Man Brand, LITA by Ciara and the gender-inclusive streetwear line HUMAN NATION, as well as 3 BRAND, Wilson's children's line.
"Our store will act more like a showroom for people to actually buy in the moment, touch and feel our product," said Day, "and it will be a place for us to be able to express our whole brand story."
The physical store features upcycled elements, uses email receipts, offers 100% home compostable Biolo shopping bags when needed and more. In addition, 3% of the store's net revenue will be donated to Wilson and Ciara's Why Not You Foundation. While the store in Seattle is the first of its kind, there are already plans in the work to open three more stores in 2022.
The House of LR&C's U Village store is located at 2616 NE Village Lane and will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
