Where to take Mom this Mother's Day

There is still time to set up a wonderful breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner with your beloved Mom this Mother's Day! Here are the local eateries who are doing something extra special for the big day.

Ivar's. From 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Ivar's Salmon House will offer a robust buffet of Alaskan salmon, mussels, clams, oysters, crepes, prime rib and all the "best of brunch" items. Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery. Hot Cakes and local bakery Sea Wolf are teaming up to fill Mother's Day with wonderful bread and toast. The brothers of Sea Wolf Bakery will have a pop-up at the Ballard Ave shop on Sunday, May 10, selling their excellent loaves from 10am until they sell out. Hot Cakes will be making some delicious toasts with their bread and a couple of sandwich specials alongside the usual selection of handmade treats and excellent Blue Star coffee.

Suncadia will offer the classic brunch buffet at Portals from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mother's Day ($54 for adults; $24 for children) complete with menu items like the seafood bar with a Washington oyster selection, house-smoked seafood, Dungeness crab shooters; fennel pollen wild salmon with lemon pesto and herbs; lemon French toast soufflé with burnt orange-blueberry compote and much more. BOKA Restaurant + Bar. Paired with a picturesque view of downtown Seattle, this buffet style brunch, prepared by Executive Chef Kerri Roach, will feature a champagne & sparkling cider toast with delectable fare such as artisanal cheeses, chilled, smoked seafood, a Beecher's cheddar scramble, peppered bacon, chicken-apple sausage, roasted potatoes, seasonal fruits, fresh pastries and more. The Terrace brunch is priced at $45 per adult, $15 per child, and free for little ones under five years old.

Urbane. From 6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on May 10, Urbane will be featuring their delicious Mother's Day Brunch menu with a focus on ingredients from local farmers and resources. Guests can enjoy a variety of mimosas and non-alcoholic beverages with items like the signature Seattle omelet, made with cage free eggs and locally sourced smoked salmon cream cheese; Orange-Cointreau brioche French toast; or the Double Stack Yellowstone Beef Burger made from grass-fed beef. Metropolitan Grill celebrates all moms with a special Mother's Day Brunch. Spoil her with delicious brunch entrées, such as Metropolitan Grill Benedict, Brioche French Toast and much more! Reservation are encouraged from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Eques. From 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on May 10, Eques Easter brunch buffet will offer guests the best in high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients, featuring classic comfort dishes with exciting Northwest flavors and complimentary champagne or mimosas. Signature dishes include Eggs Benedict with shaved prosciutto and citrus cream sauce on black pepper chive biscuits; locally smoked wild Sockeye salmon; and citrus braised pork shoulder with cheddar jalapeño grits and chipotle tomato sauce. Brunch is priced at $49.95 per adult and $24.95 per child (age 5 - 12).

Bell + Whete European Kitchen + Lounge . Special brunch items include Warm Asparagus + Dungeness Crab Salad with slow poached egg, hollandaise, grapefruit; Lemon Ricotta Crepes with blueberries and brown sugar walnut crumble; and a Mimosa Flight - three for $12 featuring sparkling wine with seasonal mixers.

Skamania Lodge. Guests will have their pick from a variety of dishes and tastes, ranging from wild salmon, cinnamon brined pork and butternut ravioli to eggs benedict, French toast and chocolate dipped croissants. Pricing includes $49.50 for adults; $23.50 for children ages eight to 12 years old; $14.50 for children ages four to seven; brunch is complimentary for children under three years old.

Local 360 Café & Bar. Mother's Day brunch specials include Strawberry Rhubarb Waffles with Pok Pok apple curd, Baked Duck Eggs with asparagus, morels and Fincchiona salami; and a Rose flight for $12.

Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel at the Rivertop Bar & Grill you'll find some of the most gorgeous views of the Wenatchee Valley. Dine on breakfast classics like eggs benedict and have your pick of items from the full salad bar, carving station and dessert buffet. Pricing includes $24.95 for adults; $22.95 for seniors; $12.95 for children ages six to 13 years old; brunch is complimentary for children under five years old.

Ray's Boathouse & Café. Boathouse brunch menu includes: Ray's Benedict with Dungeness crab meat, baby arugula, poached eggs, hollandaise and roasted red potatoes; Sirloin + Eggs with Apple wood grilled sirloin, over easy eggs, roasted potatoes and arugula salad; and Frittata with eggs, asparagus, bell pepper, zucchini, aged cheddar, arugula salad, roasted red potatoes. The Boathouse will also be serving assorted appetizers, fresh local seafood and chef specialties.

Cafe Flora. Cafe Flora has a beautiful three-course vegetarian and vegan brunch menu that is perfect for those looking for a healthy and hearty Mother's Day meal; and kids will enjoy their own three-course menu.

Alderbrook Resort & Spa. On Sunday, May 10, Alderbrook will host a special, Hood Canal-inspired Mother's Day Brunch on the Resort's waterfront property! The Mother's Day Brunch menu features seasonal salads, breakfast favorites, baked goods for the sweet tooth and other traditional fare and will be served 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at $49 per person and $16 for children 10 and under. Reservations are strongly encouraged as space is limited. Additionally, Mom's paddling will be complimentary on Mother's Day down on Alderbrook's Waterfront Center.

Volterra. Volterra is offering a Tuscan-inspired Mother's Day brunch menu with deliciously fragrant flavors from Italy imported by Chef Don Curtiss and combined with ingredients that make the Pacific Northwest so unique.

Golden Beetle. This Mediterranean-inspired restaurant from Chef Maria Hines features a special three-course brunch menu perfect for Mother's Day. Local ingredients and bold flavors and spices from the Eastern Mediterranean are combined to create one-of-a-kind dishes. Brunch is $25 per person for the three-course menu

Sushi Kappo Tamura. Partake in fresh, sustainable sushi, seafood, and other Japanese dishes for a special Mother's Day lunch. Chef Taichi knows how to pick his fish, so treat mom to some of the best seafood in the northwest with authentic Japanese preparation. Lunch is $50 for adults and $22 for children 12 and under.

Agrodolce. James Beard Award-winning Chef Maria Hines has prepared a Sicilian Mother's Day brunch. Featuring several options under each of the three courses, this menu has something for every palate. The three-course prix-fixe brunch is $25 per person.

Tilth. The menu includes Coffee Roasted Celery Root Salad with baby lettuces, Holmquist hazelnuts and maple vinaigrette; brunch favorite Cheddar Biscuits and Smoked Chicken Gravy with Washington chicken, fried egg and preserved lemon; and House Made Sourdough Waffle with maple butter, apple compote and candied pecan. Brunch is $30 per person for the three-course prix-fixe.

Sullivan's Steakhouse Seattle is celebrating Mom with a brunch special from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Mother's Day. Menu highlights include hand-carved prime rib, lump crab cake Benedict and bananas foster bread pudding. And of course, mouthwatering cuts of steak.
