Feel that? It’s the Pacific City Beach ocean breeze blowing through your screen in this coastal Steller story from Tacoma-based Stephen Jones. Trek to the top of the beach’s famed Sandlake Dunes for incredible sweeping views of Cape Kiwanda, dramatic rock formations, and the crashing waves below. Then skitter down the sandy slope right back to the edge of the Pacific! Follow along with Stephen’s scenic day at the beach below.

Note: Though most of Oregon’s beaches have reopened many have limited parking and other services for the time being. Social distancing and mask-wearing are enforced. Be sure to check with Oregon State Parks for up-to-date information before planning a visit.
