Running through Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs, this year’s event is happening December 1 and will last about two hours (and it’s free!). With dozens of entries, there’s something for every member of the family to get into the holiday spirit.

Modernism week

Perhaps a little-known fact (though it shouldn’t be), Palm Springs is home to the largest concentration of mid-century modern architecture in the world. If the simple elegance of desert modernism gets your design wheels purring, then Palm Springs is the place, and Modernism week is the time, for you. This 10-day festival runs February 14-24, 2019 and features over 75 events, including a design show at the convention center, house tours, bus tours, lectures, films, and a fair share of swanky parties, all highlighting the chic, sleek, modern architecture and design that has been the signature style of Palm Springs since the 1920s.

Tour de Palm Springs

Joins hundreds of cyclists and put your feet on the pedals for a good cause at the Tour de Palm Springs. Since 1999 this event has raised more than $3,000,000 for local charities and has been recognized as the best event in the valley. With routes anywhere from two miles to 100 miles, you don’t have to be an experienced rider to make the most of this event. See the sights of Palm Springs while raising money for a good cause? Yes, please!
