Swinomish Casino & Lodge is enhancing your experience

Swinomish Casino & Lodge has long been a beautiful and entertaining place for a weekend getaway, and ongoing upgrades throughout the casino and lodge are making it even better.

Located in Anacortes, minutes west of Burlington and just off Highway 20, Swinomish Casino & Lodge sits on Padilla Bay with beautiful views of Mount Baker. The event center, golf course and scenic vistas make it an ideal location for any corporate retreat or weekend getaway.

Serving the community since its beginnings as a bingo operation in 1985, Swinomish has undergone a major upgrade while keeping its local feel. Most importantly, it’s maintained outstanding and friendly service so that visitors, both first-timers and repeats, feel like they’re coming home.

Here’s what you have to look forward to when you head to Swinomish Casino & Lodge for your next weekend away.

Exciting casino

You have to see the enhancements to the casino with its revamped gaming floor. Not only are there new game options and an improved sound system, the Center Bar is also a focal point you cannot miss.

One of the biggest differences, though, is one you won’t see but will definitely notice: the air control system. It might not sound like much, but five air units control airflow, allowing fresh air to cycle through the building every five to seven minutes. This will greatly improve air quality in both the nonsmoking and smoking areas. The quieter fans and controlled temperatures will also keep the entire environment — and you — consistently comfortable.

Food, glorious food

From eating fancy to chowing down on a late-night snack, Swinomish has you covered. Opening in December, the fast-casual Fatburger and 24-hour Carver’s Cafe have the bites you crave. Until then, visit 10 Sports Bar and Moka Joe Coffee. Already offering tasty drinks and food, the sports bar is enhancing their menu with staples like savory barbecue prepared by award-winning executive chef Corey O’Neil.

Enjoy an elegant Northwest dining experience at 13moons, with its stylish atmosphere, exhibition kitchen and outdoor deck overlooking Padilla Bay. The aged angus beef and fresh, local fish are expertly prepared on an alder wood fire grill, and mouth-watering vegetarian dishes round out the menu. Our recommendations? Try the 18-ounce rib-eye or the Dungeness crab mac and cheese for an unforgettable treat.

Not looking for a full-blown meal? Get your drink on at Happy Hour on the casino floor Monday-Friday from 4pm-7pm and every Sunday-Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at 13moons — beautiful bay view sunsets included.

Comfortable lodge

The lodge strikes the perfect balance between an authentic Native American experience with modern amenities. Bask in the luxury bedding, lavish furnishings and showers enclosed by tile and glass. Relax in the sitting areas equipped with 40-inch flat-screen TVs. Stay connected at workstations with complimentary Wi-Fi and stay refreshed with coffee, tea and water.

Beautiful golf course

No matter if you’re a beginner or a pro, you can hit the course year round with some of the best greens in the area. They are consistent year-round, smooth and highlighted with native grass accents. Swinomish Golf Links is easily accessible, nestled between Fidalgo and Similk Bays, and close to the San Juan Islands ferries.

Rounds of golf are affordable and are a simple add-on for Lodge and RV park guests. For the kids, sign up for the excellent youth program offered in conjunction with The First Tee – taught by a PGA professional with 24 years of PGA experience.

These updates are just the beginning, so make plans to visit Swinomish soon and enjoy a few days of fun, games and relaxation. Visit swinomishcasinoandlodge.com for more information and to book your stay.
