With the weather turning wet — and it’s just the beginning of our rainy season — you might think of heading out of town to grab some Vitamin D. But you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg — no worries. I’ve got you covered.
How does a trip to Hawaii sound? Hawaiian Airlines JUST posted a sale - but you have to act fast. It’ll run you $467 round trip from Seattle to Honolulu and $587 to Maui. Keep in mind that these tickets MUST BE BOOKED by November 5th, 2018 for travel between January 9 - March 6, 2019. And by that time, a little aloha will feel mighty fine.
How about the warm vibes of Mexico? Fly nonstop to Puerto Vallarta on Alaska Airlines, and you’ll be in one of my favorite places! This package includes flights and four nights at the Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa for travel in mid-January. This package will cost you roughly $590 per person, and yes that includes air and hotel. I found this steal of a deal at AlaskaAir.com: click on “Where We Fly” and then “Vacation Packages”.
While I was there, I also found a Vegas getaway. Keep in mind it’s getting a bit chilly in Vegas but still quite comfortable. If you want to travel during Thanksgiving week, you can stay at the Flamingo on the famed Las Vegas strip, fly round trip, nonstop on Alaska Airlines all for about $200 per person. Yes, that’s a four night Thanksgiving week getaway, departing Monday, November 19th and back Friday, the 23rd for $200.
Next, Seattle’s hometown cruise line — Holland America Line — is having a sale in the Caribbean. How does a stop in Key West, the Bahamas and Dominican Republic Sound? You can do it the first week of December 2018 for less than $500 per person on the Oosterdam, from Ft. Lauderdale. Airfare isn’t included in that price but there are several low fares to get you to Florida.
Speaking of Holland America, I had the opportunity to tour their shipyard in Venice, Italy a couple of weeks ago to take a sneak peek of their newest ship, the Nieuw Statendam. I’ll take you along for the tour next week — right here on Seattle Refined. And don’t forget to join me on KOMO News Radio this Sunday at 2 p.m. for my travel show Adventures Await. This week, I’m chatting with Princess Cruise Line’s Sleep Doctor on how to get the perfect night’s sleep while on Vacation.
