It's no secret that Seattle is a growing city, and the housing market certainly reflects it. According to a new study by Redfin, the Roosevelt neighborhood is one of the nation's 10 Hottest Neighborhoods of 2016.
Eking by at #10, Redfin cites the breathtaking views as a one of the main reasons Roosevelt made the list.
Redfin.com is able to track these predictions based on most recent growth which involves page views, favorites on the website, as well as feedback from local agents.
"Redfin noted that Roosevelt was heating up in 2014," said local agent Dorothee Graham. "It's gotten even more popular recently because its prime location; some of the best Green Lake views in the city can be found above 75th Street."
The real estate company looked at the most recent growth through factors like page views and favorites on their website and feedback from local agents. They also looked around locally to see what other neighborhoods in the area are growing in popularity; next up are Somerset in Bellevue, and Wallingford.
Roosevelt was joined by Eastwood in Nashville, Hyde Park in Austin and Mount Pleasant in Washington D.C. A big surprise this year was the absence of the Bay Area from the list.
