If you have ever tried what some see as an unlikely pairing, you understand the appeal. And if you haven't, you're going to want to place your order after we show you some of Seattle's favorite hot spots for chicken and waffles. We went to:
- Fats Chicken and Waffles in the Central District is a great option. You might know the location as that of the former Crawfish Corner on 2726 E Cherry St (RIP). But Fat's also offers a real homestyle feel. Specifically, they use breast meat for their fried chicken, while most others use dark meat.
- Local 360 is a sustainable restaurant in the heart of Belltown, whose emphasis is on local sourcing, with the majority of their ingredients falling within a 360 miles radius of the city.
- The Burgundian in Tangletown is a bar tucked away in Seattle with a fantastic brunch. They offer fried chicken as an option in a lot of their entrees like biscuits and gravy or eggs benedict, but their chicken and waffles is the true winner. It comes with a side of gravy and apple butter which makes it extra fantastic.
