Cocktail of the Week: Cherry Manhattan

Kelly Sparks of Queen Bee Mixology is graciously sharing a new cocktail with us every week, just in time for Happy Hour. Did you know The Manhattan was the most famous cocktail in the world shortly after it was invented in New York City’s Manhattan Club, some time around 1880? We decided to shake it up a bit, using both Luxardo cherries and cherry whiskey to make our Cherry Manhattan. Slightly sweeter, it’s a perfect way to end your night out (or begin one).

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz Cherry Whisky
  • 1 oz. Sweet Vermouth
  • Bitters
  • Maraschino Cherry

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. Add ice, 2 oz cherry whisky, 1 oz sweet vermouth, 3 dashes of bitters to a cocktail glass,
  2. Stir to combine
  3. Place a cherry on the bottom of martini glass
  4. Pour drink into glass
  5. Enjoy!
