New Seattle high-rise lets you customize your own penthouse

I’ve got some fun penthouse news. Because anything to do with penthouses is just wonderful news.

The latest addition to the Seattle high-rise scene is the Kinects, a 41-story tower (currently under construction) that is now offering the option for potential residents to customize a penthouse.

Perspective penthouse patrons (pretty proud of my alliteration there) can literally design their ideal space, starting from the studs. As many as six custom-designed units will be available, with the option to combine multiple (or all) units into a single residence as large as 10,192 square feet. Individual penthouses range from 1,476 square feet, to 2,051 square feet in size, and start at $6,950 per month.

Here’s where the collaboration begins:

  • Renter can customize floorplan
  • Choice of smart-home technologies
  • lighting and sound systems
  • cabinets
  • fixtures and flooring

The penthouse will feature 11-foot ceiling heights, floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious balconies, and natural gas cook tops. So basically it’s got all the fixings, the bells and whistles, etc etc etc.

Oh and did I mention there would be a rooftop pool? Yeah. That’s pretty outstanding as well.
