Homes with this color kitchen sell for $1,360 above expected

Apparently color really does matter! According to a new analysis from Zillow Digs, a home's wall color can impact a house on its final sale price.

How do they know this? Well let me tell you. Zillow Digs analyzed photos from nearly 50,000 sold homes from around the country to see how certain room type and paint color combos impacted the price of the house.

After all was said and done, they found that homes with yellow kitchens (more specifically hues of creamy or wheat yellow) had the highest sale premium of $1,360 above expected values.

Other impacting colors included sage green or dove gray. Very specific, I know.

Homes that were harder to sell had dark or style specific wall colors, like slate gray or terracotta. These homes sold for as much as $1,100 less than expected. Lack of paint color can also have a negative impact on sale price as well. Wowza.

Now that you have these pearls of painting wisdom, get your paint brushes out and cover those walls! See more info here.
