Why Not Me: Let's Find Junebug a Home

If you've been on our website, social media accounts or watched our TV show for even five minutes - you'll know immediately that we are over-the-moon obsessed with pets. Which is why we could not be more excited to partner with Pawsitive Alliance for their #WhyNotMePets campaign, that spotlights animals from all sorts of rescues around the state who need an extra paw in getting adopted. These animals aren't the puppies or kitties that get snatched up right away, they're usually pets who have lived through some tough stuff in this crazy world of ours. And guess what? Those are the ones who desperately need a loving family! So share this post, click the forward button - heck, call someone up on the phone who may be interested! Let's find these pets the homes they deserve.

Junebug may technically be 2-years-old, but the folks at Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville call her a "forever kitten"!

The tiny gal is super playful, and very affectionate. She was picked up with her three kittens as a stray, and while her babies have all been adopted out to loving homes - it's this Mama's turn!

Junebug is not one of those cats who wants nothing to do with you. On the contrary, she will seek you out when she needs love, and will run to greet you with meows and leg nudges when you get home.

Despite all her amazing qualities, for some reason June Bug is having a hard time being noticed at the adoption center.

She has a very dog-like personality, is very active and requires a lot of mental and physical stimulation. But don't worry! Even if you have a 9-5, Junebug could still be the cat for you. Just play with her a little in the morning, and a lot when you get home, and leave fun toys like puzzle feeders and treat dispensing balls. She is great at making her own fun!

And sometimes - that's too much fun. June Bug can often experience overstimulation, which sometimes manifests as little nips - so the perfect home would be cat-savvy, and good at readying her body language.

She really loves her people and will do anything to please them (she has even learned tricks like sit, touch and higfive!)
