Meet Brimley! Brimley's life before Seattle was very rough. He was rescued from an inhumane breeder after being used as the stud at a young age. He developed major eye problems requiring surgery; instead of getting him the surgery he needed, the breeder had both of his eyes sewn shut to bide time on the infection and continue breeding him. By the time he was relinquished to Seattle Persian and Himalayan Rescue (SPHR), they didn't even know his eyes were sewn shut because there was so much goop caked all over his eyes and face from neglect. SPHR took a big chance on Brimley's new adopted dad as he was a first-time pet owner and Brimley would be very high maintenance, but they could tell the two fell in love right away. Brimley was in rough shape and had a good chance of losing his left eye, but with a twice-daily course of eye drops, eye ointment, oral medication through a syringe, and painkiller pills, both of his eyes completely healed without even needing surgery. These days, Brimley lives a pampered life with plenty of treats, belly rubs, and daily grooming. He has become quite well-known on Instagram, and him and his dad frequent events and fundraisers for SPHR as well as other animal rescue organizations. He still visits an eye specialist annually, who said during his last checkup that Brimley has the best eyes he'd ever seen in a Persian cat! (Image: Sunita Martini / Seattle Refined).
Meet this gorgeous nearly two-year-old kitty cat, Luna! Luna is a very special Persian kitty. She likes eating raw venison and freeze dried minnows, snuggling, playing fetch, nose scratches, belly rubs, sleeping upside down and giving kisses. She dislikes being told no, authority, being brushed, pet beds and strange men. You can follow Luna's life on instagram, @lunathespookyboo.
