A week-long fest dedicated to all things Mexico is coming our way

One of the best parts of summer are all the FESTIVALS we have going on! But just because it's September doesn't mean that has to stop. In fact, it's just getting better!

MEX AM Northwest Fest is a week-long celebration thrown by the Consulate of Mexico in Seattle, dedicated to celebrating all things Mexico: business, music, film, food, visual arts, creativity, pop culture and voice. Kind of a big task, no?

But they've packed seven whole days with celebratory events, so we think they'll be ok :) Here's a breakdown of exactly what is happening, and where - each day of MEX AM Fest.

  • Ballard Civic Orchestra concert, Ballard Locks, 2 p.m.

  • Mexican Independence Day and Latin American Cultural Celebration, Downtown Auburn, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • "Mexican Artists in the Pacific Northwest” Exhibit opening, Sand Point Arts & Cultural Exchange Gallery, 2 -4 p.m.

Tuesday, September 12

  • Panel 1 and Inauguration: 9 - 10 a.m. “Mexico and the State of Washington: How can we innovate together?”
  • Panel 2: 10:15 - 11:30 a.m. “Partnership for Innovation”
  • Panel 3: 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. “Investing in the Mexican Market”
  • Panel 4: 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. “Envisioning the Future Across America”

Wednesday, September 13

  • Panel 1: 9 - 10 a.m. “Partnership for trade between Mexico and Washington State”
  • Panel 2: 10:15 - 11:15 a.m. “Mexico and Washington state in the Aerospace Industry"
  • Panel 3: 12 - 1 p.m. “Innovative cities”
  • Panel 4: 1:45 - 2:45 p.m. “Technology, Agriculture, and the Fight Against Climate Change"
