WA State Fair to host drive-thru 'Holiday Magic' experience

Halloween has come and gone, and slowly but surely, Washington is transitioning into full holiday mode. Like the Washington State Fair, which announced Tuesday the grounds are transforming into "Holiday Magic," a drive-thru festive experience.

The coronavirus pandemic has altered virtually every part of daily life, and the holiday season — typically filled with festivals, markets and events of all kinds — is going to be no different. This inaugural event at the WA Fair aims to keep some of that holiday magic alive.

Guests will be able to drive through the fairgrounds while taking in "the true magic of the season" with lights, displays and treats from Candy Cane Lane Cocoa & Coffee Bar. Fair food staples, like the uber-popular Fisher Fair Scones, will also be available on site.

"Holiday Magic" runs from 5 to 10 p.m. select nights from Dec. 4 to Jan. 3. Reserved tickets must be purchased in advance and can be found online for $25 per car. Those who purchase tickets before Nov. 29 will save $5.
