Prepare to be WOWed by Cirque du Soleil's 'VOLTA'

Mesmerizing. That's the word to describe VOLTA, the new Cirque du Soliel show now playing at Redmond's Marymoor Park. It's the 15th year Cirque has wowed audiences in the Seattle area, but this particular performance is really something special.

"This is the first time we are implementing street sports in a Cirque du Soliel show," said VOLTA Publicist Steven Ross, "we have BMX, double dutch rope skipping, roller skating and a lot of disciplines people have never seen which creates a high energy and voltage show... hence the name VOLTA."

It's not just the jaw-dropping acts that put VOLTA over the top. The costume department is also a show-stopper.

Ross said, "we have 300 pieces and props in VOLTA and they were designed by the same person who is famous for working with people like Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Ru Paul... so we wanted something very lively to go with the show."

VOLTA also comes with a special message for audiences.

Ross said, "The plot line is a positive message of self acceptance. The main character has got blue feathers instead of brown hair and that makes him different. He's not very happy with that but throughout the show he realizes it's okay to be yourself and the best version of you is the true you."

VOLTA is playing at Marymoor Park until November 4th. For ticket information head to
