Guess the WA town that's a finalist in a "Nicest Places in America" list

...And no, we don't mean a "nice" place to live.

The contest, done by Reader's Digest and Nextdoor, set out to find out where the "nicest" people live in America. Where are all the nice humans at?! According to their calculations - South Whidbey Island is a finalist out of 10 other towns and cities!

The contest was crowd-sourced, and citizens were asked to nominate exceptional places "whose people exemplify ways of life the country needs more of today."

South Whidbey Island was named a finalist because "it is an example of how people live together even when they disagree. You can't escape issues on an island while residents here debate on issues fiercely, they come together as friends at the end of the day."

To name South Whidbey Island as a the champion, Reader's Digest and Nextdoor ask you to vote! Voting opened on June 21st, but will run through the summer and will be announced in Reader's Digest for their November issue.

If you are a South Whidbey Island native, or just love the island in general, you can cast your vote here!
