Welcome to the Weekend Report - where we tell you what's up in Seattle this weekend, the things you definitely don't want to miss. Why should we have all the fun at these events? Nothanger Abbey. Things are bound to get saucy at the Noveltease Theatre as they add a heavy dose of camp, humor, and jazz to Jane Austen’s novel Northanger Abbey, about a young woman obsessed with Gothic novels, at University Heights Center, for age 18+.

Washington Distillers Festival. The McMenamin's in Bothell is hosting the Washington Distiller's Festival, an afternoon filled with handcrafted spirits from distillers throughout Washington. Bid in a silent auction that includes private distillery tours and tastings, limited edition bottles and overnight stays.

SANCA's Annual Showcase Spectacular. Head on up to Captiol Hill where "every year SANCA presents a showcase of unique circus performances featuring students, alumni, staff, and friends. This showcase is one weekend only: we hold four shows, each featuring a different line up of spectacular local and internationally renowned circus performers alongside SANCA's tremendously talented student performers."

Saturday, November 16

Winter Beer Taste. The 32nd Annual Winter Beer Taste is "Stranger Beers" themed and features ten tastes of local craft beer and cider, pub snacks and tasty homemade treats and an "awesome silent auction of unique and not-so-unique beer paraphernalia."

Cranksgiving. Happy Cranksgiving! "It’s time for West Seattle to celebrate it’s own Cranksgiving this year. Meet at the West Seattle Food Bank on November 16th at 10am with all your cargo hauling accessories on your bike and few dollars in your wallet and we will have a grand time riding all over West Seattle gathering food to donate to the food bank. Lists provided day of event."

Songea's Kids Soiree. Join the Songea's Kids Soiree for an "inspiring evening to support orphans and vulnerable children in southern Tanzania! You'll meet our vibrant community, hear powerful stories of the impact we are making, and learn about our plans for the future. Together we will enjoy a fun-filled reception with appetizers, a plated dinner, and complimentary wine as we raise funds to provide safe shelter, clean water, food, clothing, health care and education."

Geek Girl Con. Creates a community for women in science, technology, arts and literature, comics, and game design at the conference center near the Washington State Convention Center. This event runs on both Saturday and Sunday.

Greenlake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off. Get in the Thanksgiving spirit early with the Greenlake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off! "The event consists of a 10K run/walk, a 5K run/walk, a free kids dash and a post-race celebration that includes the crowd pleasing Mashed Potato Munch Off competitive eating contest and an onsite beer, wine & mimosa garden."
