Welcome to the Weekend Report - where we tell you what's up in Seattle this weekend, the things you definitely don't want to miss. Why should we have all the fun at these events? Most of the things we are previewing here, we will be at - so if you see us say hi! We're guaranteed to miss some, so definitely email us if there is something wonderful we need to know about!

Friday, November 3

Brew Seattle. Beer, food trucks, live music, games - it literally doesn't get better than that. There are over 80 breweries and cideries for you to try from and a ticket into Brew Seattle will get you four tokens for testing, and access to all the foods and games. ALSO! If you bring one non-perishable food item to donate to University District Food Bank, you'll get an extra drinking token!

Green Building Slam. If you are looking into living a more "green" lifestyle, the Green Building Slam will feature 10 lectures by architects and builders who aim to educate the public on these issues. There will also be food, drinks, and desserts.

Vogue Knitting Live. Got a passion for, knitting?! The Vogue Knitting show will feature fashion shows, knitting classes, and all kinds of vendors. This is a traveling event and has so far been to New York and San Francisco and is touching down in Seattle all weekend.

Saturday, November 4

Soul Canvas Launch Party. Soul Canvas is launching this weekend! What is it, you ask? Soul Canvas partners with event spaces around town to curate events for talented artists to showcase their work to the public. The launch is an exclusive party for all art lovers that will feature talent of all types: musicians, artists, dancers, actors and photographers. Upon entry you will be greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne and music that will guarantee to make ya feet move.

Short Run Comix & Arts Festival. There are a few comic book themed events happening around the area this weekend, but the 7th annual Short Run Comix & Art Festival showcases makers of books, zines, comics, and animation!

Northwest Orchid Society Fall Show & Sale. Is it just me or are orchids the most glorious of all the flowers? This show and sale is dedicated to all things orchids! Gaze upon beautiful orchids visit vendors that will sell flowering and other gardening supplies. Get your green thumb on, ya'll.

Jet City Comic Show. Here's another comic event for ya, this time in Tacoma! At Jet City Comic Show you will have to chance to meet dozens of comics creators, hear panel talks, play games, and browse dealer tables. This event runs all weekend.

Sunday, November 5

America’s Largest Antique & Collectible Show. Considered one of the largest Antique shows in America, this event has over 400 vendors selling furniture, glassware, slot machines, movie memorabilia, estate jewelry, paintings, mechanical banks, and toys. This event will repeat in February.
