Welcome to the Weekend Report - where we tell you what's up in Seattle this weekend, the things you definitely don't want to miss. Why should we have all the fun at these events? Most of the things we are previewing here, we will be at - so if you see us say hi! Friday, November 1

The Whisky Extravaganza. Every year, The Whiskey Extravaganza hosts tasting events and masterclasses in major cities throughout the U.S., offering whisky enthusiasts of all levels the opportunity to "explore some of the most prestigious single malt, premium Scotch whiskies and other unique whiskies from around the world." The Dram & Bite package in Seattle is $150 and includes whisky tastings, light culinary bites and a souvenir tasting glass. This event benefits the National Food & Beverage Foundation.

Georgetown Morgue. #SpookySzn is coming to an end! Visit one of Seattle's best haunted houses, the Georgetown Morgue! In it's final weekend, the Georgetown Morgue will close its doors on November 2. 'Til next year!

Sumo + Sushi. With showings on both Friday and Saturday night, the Sumo + Sushi event is an evening filled with just that - sumo wrestling and delicious sushi bites. "Konishiki will explain the rules, technique, and sumo culture followed by live matches where you can cheer on your favorite wrestler as these massive athletes smash together in front of your table." Sounds absolutely appetizing if you ask me. Doors open 30 minutes before the show and on Saturday there are two sessions available, 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Haunted Halloween Yacht Cruise. All aboard a haunted Halloween cruise! The Islander Yacht is two stories and will have DJ's spinning Top 40 and all your favorite artists. The boat is heated, spacious and has indoor and outdoor areas to dance and enjoy the views of Lake Washington. Be sure to wear your best Halloween garb, there will be a costume contest! The boat boards at 9 p.m. and will leave the dock promptly at 10 p.m.

Saturday, November 2

Seattle Women's Show. The second annual Women's Show will feature over 75 exhibitors "across a wide variety of industries including fashion, accessories, health and wellness, food and beverages, cosmetics, skin care, beauty, travel, home decor, fitness and more! This event is 21+.

Oyster New Year. Eat, drink and be "eco-friendly at the biggest oyster party on the West Coast!" The Oyster New Year event, in it's 27th year, will feature 30+ varieties of local oysters shucked to order at our 150-foot oyster bar, fresh seafood buffet, over 60 wineries, local microbrews, live music, an oyster lug, a raffle, and the People's Choice "Most Beautiful Oyster" content. Calling all oyster lovers, this is definitely the event for you.

Heather Tartan Ball & Silent Auction. Scotland comes to the PNW with the Heather Tartan Ball & Silent Auction! In it's 55th year, "don your Clan tartan and plan to attend an evening of Scottish entertainment with pipe bands, highland dancing, country dancing, ballroom dancing and a silent auction."

Scandinavian Holiday Bazaar. Enjoy a "bonanza of shopping opportunities just in time for the holidays, plus great food and Viking-inspired drinks. Vendors will sell hand-made and/or Nordic items. Seattle Restaurant Week. Seattle Restaurant Week begins this Sunday! "Seattle Restaurant week invites people across King County for a deal. More than 165 restaurants in nearly every neighborhood in the Seattle area offer a special three-course dinner menu for just $35. Many also offer two-course lunches for $20."

Macabre Market. The Macabre Market celebrates the "dark side of life" with vendors selling jewelry, art and clothing. There will also be a bar! Vendors include Crow's Crystal Creations, Adavita Kedavra, Blue Crow Metaphysical, Raven's Well and more.
