Welcome to the Weekend Report - where we tell you what's up in Seattle this weekend, the things you definitely don't want to miss. Why should we have all the fun at these events? Most of the things we are previewing here, we will be at - so if you see us say hi! Friday, October 11

Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival. This crab festival in Port Angeles is a weekend long festival with tons of seafood and other bites, music and fun! Roam over 75 craft, merchant, nonprofit and food booths on City Pier, endless free Cooking Demos, and a chowder cook-off on Sunday!

Leavenworth Oktoberfest. You haven't done Oktoberfest right until you go to Leavenworth Oktoberfest. This event has free shuttles in town, live music, dancers, arts and crafts, German food, and beer! Keg tapping ceremony with a band begins at noon on Saturdays. Children younger than age 12 are free but must leave at 9 p.m. Runs first three weekends of October.

Earshot Jazz Festival. The 31st annual Earshot Jazz Festival kicks off this weekend and has venues all over the city for you to go to. Each venue has their own tickets to sell so be sure to check out the entire line up and pick and choose which shows you'd like to go to.

Saturday, October 12

Dog Film Festival. This festival is an annual celebration of the love between dogs and their people, through short films from around the world that inspire, educate and entertain, benefiting local animal welfare groups that bring people and pets together. Bring your pup, but remember to keep fido on a leash! Click here for the list of doggo movies.

That's Impossible Presents. Get ready for some magical entertainment as That's Impossible Presents "brings mesmerizing and hilarious magicians to the stage and to your table." This intimate and cabaret-style magic show "has to be seen to be believed."

Orting Pumpkin Fest. The Orting Pumpkin Fest is one of those fall events that celebrates autumn and all the fun that comes with it. There are stages of entertainment, a car show, "Little Pumpkin Pals Parade," lots of food, arts and crafts and a fun kids zone with games, bounce houses and more.

Seattle Antiquarian Book Fair. Dealers from across North America and beyond descend annually upon Seattle, offering for sale thousands of collectible books, prints, maps, autographs, photographs, posters, postcards, ephemera, manuscripts, broadsides, fine bindings and more. This book fair runs both on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday, October 13

Seattle Home Show. The 21st annual housing extravaganza featuring displays of home and garden products. Daily “Meet the Experts” seminars cooking demos by well-known local chefs. Live music in the Outdoor Living Area with Wine and Beer Garden. This event runs on both Saturday and Sunday.

Zoo Boo. Zoo Boo is running all weekend long at Point Defiance Zoo with a fall-themed weekend as animals experience special pumpkin enrichments! Elephants stomp giant pumpkins, polar bears and otters get icy treats and Herald the dog will lead a costume parade! Wear a costume and save $2 on general front gate admission. Play ghostly games for treats and look around the Zoo for all our decorations, then vote for your favorite.

Lake Chelan Crush. Experience the harvest season in Lake Chelan wine country! The barrel room doors swing wide open and the work in the vineyards comes to the crush pad. Come taste, stomp and dance. Watch the grapes tumble through the press and taste the raw juice that it produces. Many Chelan wineries and tasting rooms are participating, click here to see what events to expect!
