Welcome to the Weekend Report - where we tell you what's up in Seattle this weekend, the things you definitely don't want to miss. Why should we have all the fun at these events? Most of the things we are previewing here, we will be at - so if you see us say hi! We're guaranteed to miss some, so definitely email us if there is something wonderful we need to know about!

Timber Outdoor Music Festival. Looking to disconnect a little bit this weekend? Head out to Carnation for this music festival/fun run and walk. Timber Outdoor Music Festival features 26 music artists, a 5k run on Sunday, family activities, and camping in forested Tolt MacDonald Park in Carnation. This event runs all weekend.

Seattle Cuban Dance Fest. Learn some Cuban dance moves at the Seattle Cuban Dance Fest that offers dance classes at the University of Washington. Think, massive dance parties with live Cuban bands around Seattle. This event runs all weekend and you can even stay in some dorms if you'd like!

Jungle Party: Our Zoo, Our Oasis. Head on over to Woodland Park Zoo to this fun event which includes a reception with complimentary appetizers and specialty drinks, up-close animal tours, and a silent auction to support the Woodland Park Zoo.

West Seattle Summer Fest. The West Seattle Summer Fest (aka, one of my favorite events of the summer) is a neighborhood street fair with arts and crafts, live music, local food, a beer garden, and a kids’ play area. This event runs all weekend.

Saturday, July 13

Redmond Derby Days. On both July 12th and 13th, Redmond Derby Days has a carnival and a beer/wine garden at Redmond City Hall Campus, a 5k, a kids’ parade on Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by a grand parade, and fireworks on Saturday at 10 p.m.

Seattle International Beerfest. Seattle International Beerfest is a three day specialty beer festival. Sample everything from classic styles (pilsners, pales, etc.) to exotic new-world hybrids (barrel-aged hoppy farmhouse sours, etc! Runs all weekend.

Kirkland Uncorked. Enjoy art, food, wine, a ton of vendors, and a boat show at Kirkland Uncorked on the lakeshore at Marina Park. This event runs Friday through Sunday.

Redmond Arts Festival. Another one in Redmond this weekend! Redmond Arts Festival will have over 90 art booths, food trucks, live bands, and sidewalk chalk at Redmond Town Center. This event runs all weekend.

Polish Festival Seattle. This festival will celebrate all things Poland with Polish music, dance, food, crafts, workshops, a beer garden, and vodka tasting at the Seattle Center Armory and the outdoor amphitheater nearby.

Proof: Washington Distillers Festival. Make sure to drink a lot of water and bring a designated driver because a ticket to Proof: Washington Distillers Festival gets you 10 tasting tokens to try gin, whiskey, bourbon, and vodka from 40 Washington distilleries with appetizers at Fremont Studios.

Wallingford Family Parade. Head on over to Wallingford for the Wallingford family parade! Children, families, dogs, drill teams, marching bands, and floats join Wallingford Family Parade, which begins at Meridian Playground.

Seafair Milk Carton Derby. The Milk Carton Derby may or may not be one of the best events of the summer. Watch 100 boats made of milk cartons, plus stand-up paddle boards, compete for speed and style prizes on Seafair Milk Carton Derby at Green Lake.

Sunset Beach Bash. Another one on the East side for ya! Sunset Beach Bash Features live pop, rock, and dance music, plus food trucks, a tiki bar, and tiki torches at Lake Sammamish State Park for age 21+. Parking is $10 if you don’t have a state park pass!

Seattle to Portland. Bike from Portland to Seattle is this non-competitive 200-mile bike ride that will have over 10,000 participants departing from north of the Husky Stadium and taking one to two days to make the trip south.

Sunday, July 14

Coast Day Beach Party. Celebrate the summer with Seattle's biggest SANDBOX! Pyramid Brewing is turning their entire parking lot into a sandbox for a Beach Day bash! It's open on both Saturday and Sunday.

Ballard SeafoodFest. Grub on tons of Seafood and other bites, watch a lutefisk-eating contest on Saturday at 3 p.m., listen to music, enjoy some art, and listen to live music while sipping on a beer in the beer garden! Does it get any better than that? This event runs on both all weekend long.

11 a.m.

Wedgewood Art Festival. The annual neighborhood Wedgwood Art Festival will feature tons of northwest artists, live music, food, and a variety of family entertainment outdoors at Our Lady of the Lake Church. This event runs on Saturday and Sunday!
