Upstream. We don't typically include Thursdays in our Weekend Report round up but this is a VERY special occasion. Today marks the very first opening day of Upstream Festival and Summit! We have talked so much about it, you should be well versed in our artist profiles and what to expect! Upstream starts today and will go through Saturday, May 13 and is in the heart of Pioneer Square. Friday, May 12

Northwest Paddling Festival. This festival is a water sport lover's dream. This is the largest event of it's kind in the PNW and brings paddle sports, retailers, manufacturers, and athletes to one location. There are over 60 paddle sports businesses offering canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, paddling equipment, and accessories and gears.

Saturday, May 13

Ten Grands. Benaroya Hall is hosting a piano concert where 10 pianists play 10 grand pianos... at the same time! It's going to be EPIC. Also - fun fact: Ten Grands Seattle has raised over one million dollars for music education! How cool.

Seattle Maritime Festival: Family Fun Day. Hopefully the weather will hold out for this one! This festival, held at Seattle Maritime Academy, will feature boat tours, walk-on tugboats, a boat parade, Coast Guard demonstrations, kid's activities, a fire boat display, music, and a chowder cook off!

West Seattle Garage Sale. Who doesn't love a good garage sale? This is like, the biggest garage sale of ALL TIME. I mean, maybe. Check out the West Seattle Community Garage Sale schedule for locations and information.

Pierogi Fest. If Polish food is your jam, this Pierogi Fest will have peirogi dumplings, potato pancakes, Polish beer, dessert, folk music, crafts and kid's activities!
