Welcome to the Weekend Report - where we tell you what's up in Seattle this weekend, the things you definitely don't want to miss. Why should we have all the fun at these events? Most of the things we are previewing here, we will be at - so if you see us say hi! We're guaranteed to miss some, so definitely email us if there is something wonderful we need to know about!

Friday, May 4

Party on the Cut. Kick off the 2018 Windermere cup with the Party on the Cut! This event will feature three live bands: Brian DiJulio & the Love Jacks, the Groove Surfers and SPIKE & THE IMPALERS! There will be live music, food trucks, a beer garden for age 21+, and lawn games on the Montlake Cut.

Saturday, May 5

Kentucky Derby Party. Not in Kentucky? No problem. W Bellevue Hotel is hosting a Kentucky Derby party where you can sport your oversized hats and sip on Mint Juleps. From 11am to 5pm, there will be live DJ music, specialty cocktails (including a tequila and cilantro julep), a Derby hat contest, photo booth, silent auction (benefiting The MoreLOVE Project), and vendor booths and giveaways.

2nd Annual Kentucky Derby Soirée. This event hosted by the downtown restaurant Heartwood Provisions is anotha DERBY DAY BONANZA! Be sure to come dressed to impress. Along with full coverage of the races, Heartwood has come up with an entire cocktail menu just for the occasion:

  • Mint Julep - Woodford Bourbon, Mint, Sugar, Bitters.
  • Kentucky Buck - Woodford Bourbon, Lemon, Ginger Beer.
  • Cocktail a la Louisiane - Woodford Rye, Sweet Vermouth, Benedictine, Absinthe, Bitters.
  • Mix & Match Boilermaker- Old Forester 1870, 1897 or 1920 (1 oz.) & Your Choice of Draft Beer (6 oz.)

Windermere Cup. It's all about being on the water this weekend! Watch women and men's teams compete in the Windermere rowing competition. You can catch races all day so remember to drink lots of water and bring snacks because it's supposed to be a beauty day!

Sunday, May 6

Taco Libre Truck Showdown. TACOS. Head on down to the Fremont Sunday Market and watch over 30 food trucks duke it out for the best taco-inspired dishes. Come hungry!

Seattle Bike-N-Brews. A ticket to Seattle Bike-n-Brews gets you a *short* and sort of flat 27-mile ride from Georgetown to Tukwila. There will be beer at the midpoint, and beer and lunch at the finish line.
