A Rainy Day in Seattle. Earlier this week we published an article about different poetry readings around the city and this weekend you can go check one out! Rainy Day in Seattle is an annual poetry reading at the Annex Theatre in Capitol Hill. The event will be both on Friday and Saturday but Friday night readers include Cassandra Dallett, Christine No, Abe Becker, Elly Finzer, and Paul Corman-Roberts.

Whirligig. Whirl Gig is celebrating Spring Break with a carnival for the kiddos! Take your littles to this fun carnival event at the Armory at Seattle Center. The carnival will have inflatable rides, face painters, balloon artists, a student showcase, and a lot more.

VegFest. Vegetarians/adventurous foodies rejoice! The largest vegetarian food festival is here in Seattle and it is this weekend, folks. We will be there this so come say hello!

Samena Family Spring Festival. Tis the season for Easter egg hunts! The Samena Swim & Recreation Club in Bellevue is bringing in the season with a day packed with family fun. There will be a pancake breakfast with magic show from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m., a toddler egg hunt for ages 2 and younger at 9 a.m., and ages 3 to 5 at 9:30 a.m., and underwater egg hunts by age group 11 a.m. to noon. You will have to pre-register before showing up!

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. It's heeeeeere! The tulips are blooming, the birds are singing! Head to Skagit Valley to gaze upon the beauty that is the Tulip Festival! This is the first day that it is opening so get there early cause it's gonna be madness.

Sunday, April 2

Seattle Restaurant Week. Seattle Restaurant Week is back! Running from April 2nd-6th, there are 165+ restaurants that are participating, offering deals on three course meals. For the whole list of participating restaurants, click here.

Victorian Festival in Port Townsend. Victorian Festival is open both on Saturday and Sunday! The festival has tours of three historic buildings, a Victorian fashion show, high tea both days, and a pub crawl.
