Star Brews Beer Festival. CALLING ALL STAR WARS FANS. Yes, it is happening. A Star Wars-themed beer festival is going to be hosted, here, in Seattle this Friday inside Withinsodo. For Friday evening only, the building will transform into an intergalactic Star Wars universe where you can sip on Darth Lair Ciders and Rebel's Beers. Along will brews, their will be characters, photo ops, food, and a live music performance by the Storm Rockers and R2-DJ2. Tickets are $40!

MLK Jr. Unity Day. Finishing out the celebration of Black History Month, the fourth annual MLK Jr. Unity Day will take place at The Great Hall this Friday. This event serves as an opportunity to reflect, teach, and pass down Dr. King's vision of a world united and peaceful. New York Times best-selling author of "So You Want to Talk about Race", Ijeoma Oluo will be leading the discussion on Dr. King's legacy. This event is free and no registration is required.

Nordic Lights Film Festival. Nordic cinema will be honored for the 11th year at the SIFF Cinema Uptown Friday through Sunday. This festival features films from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and the Faroe Islands. Tickets for SIFF members are $65 and general admission is $75. Individual day passes are also available here.

Saturday, February 29

The So Northwest Women's Show. Freebies, food, and fashion! This Friday and Saturday at the Tacoma Dome and presented by BECU, KOMO 4 will be hosting their annual So Northwest Women's Show with hundreds of exhibits. You can receive free stuff, see live entertainment, and get the chance to see and meet some of the special guests! This year, winner of Season 28 of "Dancing with the Stars" Alan Bersten, is one of the people making a guest appearance! For more info, click here and click here for tickets!

Seattle Thunderbirds. This Saturday, the Thunderbirds take on the Portland Winterhawks at 6 PM. This game the T-Birds are teaming up with Crisis Connections and the Canadian Mental Health Association to raise awareness on the importance of mental health issues. Tickets start at $18.

Sunday, March 1

Seattle Cocktail Week. That's right, it's that time of year where Seattle celebrates cocktails all week long with over 60 participating bars and brands! Starting this Sunday, Sol Liquor, Olmstead, Joli, The Alley, and Stampede Cocktail Club will be hosting events for the kickoff. For more info on the times and locations of each event, visit here.

Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k. What's the point of running without a nice reward at the end? Am I right? This race is an exceptionally tasty one as it features marshmallow sweet stations and a Finisher Mug filled with hot chocolate and chocolate fondue. Tickets are $54 for the 5k and $74 for the 15k.

Thundercat. Grammy-award winning musician, Stephen Bruner, better known by his stage name, Thundercat, is performing at the Showbox SoDo this Sunday. He is well-known for his work on Kendrick Llamar's album "To Pimp a Butterfly" along with his collaborations with many other artists and groups in the music industry such as Flying Lotus, Mac Miller, Erykah Badu, Travis Scott, Jhene Aiko, Vic Mensa, Childish Gambino, N.E.R.D, Janelle Monae, and many more. Tickets are $30 ($35 the day of the show) and doors open at 7 PM.
