Welcome to the Weekend Report - where we tell you what's up in Seattle this weekend, the things you definitely don't want to miss. Why should we have all the fun at these events? Most of the things we are previewing here, we will be at - so if you see us say hi! We're guaranteed to miss some, so definitely email us if there is something wonderful we need to know about!

Wine & Chocolate. Still looking for V-Day plans with your honey or gals? Enjoy a stroll in the W. W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory, listen to live music, see floral displays and taste wine and chocolate.

Hard Love. Enjoy some Valentine's Day burlesque at the Columbia Theater. Hard Love is a sultry and comedic burlesque show to celebrate the season of love. There are two shows, one on Friday and one on Saturday.

The Spirit of the West Cowboy Gathering. If you are looking for a western inspired event, make the drive east towards Ellensburg to celebrate traditional cowboy music, poetry, art, gear, and some grub. This event runs Friday through Sunday.

Noir City. Noir City is bringing back the classics with a Noir Film Festival set to kick off this weekend. Noir film aficionado Eddie Muller will be the host of the night, and he'll introduce all films dark and dangerous. The Noir City festival will kicks off Friday, and will continue on through Sunday.

Saturday, February 16

Children's Film Festival. February 9th had us all snowed in but the show must go on! The Children's Film Festival rescheduled Feb. 9th's programming to this Saturday, allowing you and the family to see the captivating shorts they've got in store.

Dress Dash. Portland, Tacoma, and Seattle Boutique are looking to clear their racks of wedding dresses this Saturday! With dresses as low as $150, brides-to-be can get a beautiful dress at a ridiculously discounted price (talk about bridezilla-be-gone). Be careful though, they say lines start to form as early as 3 a.m. so bundle up and go say yes to that dress!

Seattle Blind Cafe. This Valentine's event wants you to close your eyes and leap (not really, but it sounds poetic, right?). The Seattle Blind Cafe wants you to hold deep conversations in complete darkness with complete strangers this weekend. The experience is accompanied by the Rosh & the Blind Cafe Orchestra so the mood is sure to be set.

Xtreme International Ice Racing. Witness a wicked crossover of sports this weekend. XiiR will feature professional motorcycle and ATV riders from England, Scotland, Canada, and the US who will race on ice! Did we mention the no brakes allowed rule? Don't worry, the rides will have steel-studded tires (doesn't change that adrenaline rush, though). That's not even the most important part: support the troops by donating items such as travel-sized toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc. at the door!

Seattle Bike & Outdoor Show. If you're all about bikes, this Saturday might be an exciting day for you. This year's Seattle Bike & Outdoor Show will feature stunt performances, tracks for adults and children alike, bike retailers, and more!

Golf Show. More the 160 exhibitors are hoping they are a hole in one at this year's Seattle Golf Show. Opt-in for free lessons, skills contests, and bring the kids for Saturday's family day. The Seattle Golf Show will be both Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17.

Wine on the Rock: Wine & Chocolate. Get wine drunk, eat chocolate, and stay local! Clearly, the Winery Alliance of Bainbridge Island wants to deliver an elegant experience this weekend. Five of the seven Bainbridge Island Wineries will be serving up wine paired with chocolate. And all of it is local!

Chop Shop. Watch and participate in amazing dance performances at Chop Shop: A Contemporary Dance Festival. Amazing artists will be performing their unique form of dance, lead dances for intermediate and advanced dancers, and offer a series of lectures for all ages!

Fly Fishing Show. Head on up to Lynnwood this weekend to learn all there is to know about fly fishing (or close to it, at least). Among the programs, there will be featured classes, casting demos, theaters, and fly tiers. And that's only naming a few of the things going on here!

Lunar New Year at U.W. Support the Chinese Student Association at the University of Washington by going to their 52nd Annual Lunar New Year Gala! There will be food, activities, performances and more, all in the name of celebrating Chinese Culture and the Lunar New Year!
