Friday, January 17

Tacoma RV Show. Washington state's biggest RV show is back from January 16th through the 19th! Hundreds of RV's will be on display with more than 165 brands at the show. This is your best chance to take advantage of season-starting selection and money-saving deals as you shop the top dealers all under one roof!

Community Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Join Seattle Colleges for the 47th Annual Community Celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.! The keynote speaker is Tricia Rose, an internationally acclaimed scholar and public speaker, media commentator and award-winning author. There will also be gospel music and KIRO 7's Monique Ming Laven will emcee. Doors open at 11 a.m.

Lake Chelan Winterfest. Running through January 17th through the 26, Lake Chelan Winterfest is back! "Nestled among the snow-capped hilltops and glacier fed waters of Lake Chelan, Winterfest is the perfect escape to a Washington winter wonderland. Join us for win and ale tastings, horse-drawn carriages, intricate ice sculptures, live music, activities for kids, a massive beach bonfire, spectacular fireworks show and much more!"

Saturday, January 18

MLK Weekend Run. Here's another Magnuson Park run for you but this time it's to celebrate MLK! You can either join the 5k run/walk, 10k run/walk or the 15k run. Starts at 10 a.m. and ticket pricing varies on which kind of race you choose.

Seattle Wine & Film Festival. "Seattle Wine & Film, a nonprofit corporation, is pleased to present this outstanding festival. This year the festival will be hosted at the re-purposed Rainier Brewery in the chic space of the Jeff Hengst Art Gallery. We will be screening quality films, most of which have won awards at other film festivals. We will be featuring the lesser-known, boutique wineries of Eastern Washington, offering unlimited wine-tasting of their terrific wines." This event runs on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Great Train Show. Are you a fan of locomotives?! The Great Train Show is the "nation's only coast-to-coast model train show. The show is designed for the general public, modelers, hobbyists, families and the just plain curious. Each show features hundreds of tables of trains and accessories for sale, huge operating exhibits, activities for kids and more!"

PNW Reptile and Exotic Animal Show. Okay I know this sounds kinda scary, but if you are into reptilians - this is the event for you! The Pacific NW Reptile and Exotic Animal Show is a "public trade show and is the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest." Learn about these crazy creatures and hang out with advanced hobbyists and everyone in between. This event will run on both Saturday and Sunday.

Bavarian Icefest. Have you had enough winter yet?! If not, head on over to Leavenworth for the Bavarian Icefest 2020. "Leavenworth loves winter, and each year on MLK Jr. weekend we celebrate winter's bounty with IceFest! The village is still dressed in over half a million twinkling lights and this weekend is a flurry of frosty frivolity. Come celebrate winter with us!" There will be Frisbee Sweep, Ice Cube Scramble, Smooshing, snow sculptures, live ice carving, ice fishing games and so much more. IceFest is free unless you want to play games then there is a $5 fee.
