The Edgewater Hotel is celebrating the life and work of Anthony Bourdain by hosting a special, free event on Tuesday, June 25, which was recently named "Bourdain Day."
The iconic Seattle hotel was one of Bourdain's favorite hotels so it seems fitting to celebrate the newly minted holiday Bourdain Day there.
The event is reception-style from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and will offer attendees to celebrate Bourdain's achievements, enjoy a cochina pig roast, a "Hey Tony" Negroni from the outdoor bar (a Bourdain favorite), and an ale brewed exclusively for Six Seven, the hotel's fantastic restaurant. The event is free and open to the public, as is the cochina pig roast and appetizers. Everyone should be able to celebrate Uncle Tony!
Proceeds from the event will benefit Big Table, a Seattle non-profit that cares for those in the "restaurant and hospitality industry who are finding themselves in crisis, transition or falling through the cracks."
