Seattle ranks 7th Best City for Women to Start a Business

Can I get a YAAAAAS QUEEN?!

Business.org recently reported on the best places in America for women entrepreneurs, and Seattle came in high on the list at #7.

In Seattle, it was recorded that 29 percent of businesses are owned by women and that the female unemployment rate is only 5.1 percent.

Business.org analysts collected data about four different factors for each of the 50 largest metropolitan areas:

  1. Percentage of female-only owned businesses
  2. Unemployment rate for women
  3. Pay differences between women and men
  4. Number of new businesses per capita

Sources included the U.S Census Bureau, the Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs, and the American Community Survey.
