Seattle is the 18th Best City to Work from Home

Let’s face it. If we could magically get rid of one obstacle in our daily lives, it would be...drumroll, please...TRAFFIC!

Now, while we may not be able to make traffic disappear, we might be able to avoid it. According to a study by SmartAsset, Seattle is the 18th best city to work from home. Can I get a hallelujah from my fellow homebodies?

With the average commute taking 27.1 minutes, and annual commuting costs averaging $2,600, working from home may be the answer to eliminating the emotional energy it takes to get to and from work AND saving that hard-earned cash.

The data was collected based on seven factors from 100 of the largest cities in the U.S. including: percentage of employees working from home, a five-year change in percentage of employees working from home, unemployment rate, poverty rate, housing costs as a percent of earnings, coffee shop density, and bar density.
