Seattle kitty featured in 'World's Favorite Cat Calendar'

A familiar feline is gracing the 2021 Cat 365 Page-A-Day calendar. Jake, a 9-year-old Lynx Point Siamese, will be featured on the page for Jan. 25.

The Instagram page for Jake and his sister, Jewel, has more than 2,000 followers — and he was also one of our RUFFined Spotlights in 2019! The duo was adopted from the Everett Animal Shelter when they were babies. Evelyn O'Neal, their owner, said Jake has loved the outdoors since he was a kitten, and they go on many "catventures" together.

"I started with taking him out for walks around our neighborhood," O'Neal said. "And eventually he started coming places with us."

Jake is quite the little adventurer — "what began as short jaunts around the cul-de-sac with a harness and leash, quickly turned into exploring tons of different outdoor places with his family," according to his RUFFined Spotlight. Jake's been to Franklin Falls and the Skagit Valley tulip fields, as well as lots of local parks. He's also gone kayaking!

Aside from his love of the great outdoors, he enjoys playing with dripping water, anything stringy, his cat food/treats and Goldfish crackers, but is not a fan of his dog-brother, being held, baths, loud sounds and various modes of transportation.

You can keep up with their "catventures" on Instagram @seattle_pawsteps. The Cat 365 Page-A-Day 2021 Calendar, featuring winners of the annual Cat Calendar Contest, can be purchased online for $15.99.
