Our RUFFined Spotlight this week is a little different than usual - and that's thanks to this mug right here. Meet Johnny Cash the Frenchie!
Johnny Cash is 1.5 years old and was rescued by his mom, Maureen, after living through some pretty horrible abuse. When he was born deaf, the breeder tossed him aside - after which he ended up living for a year in isolation outside in a filthy chicken coop in rural Arkansas. When Maureen finally got her hands on him, he was suffering from malnutrition, parasites, mange, neglect, had never been on a walk or played with a toy.
"Despite his rough start at life he is open to all new experiences and has this magical, quiet, curious zest for life," said Maureen. "He really loves everything and everyone."
Johnny love all dogs, particularly big breeds that he likes to play and wrestle with. He also loves the beach, walking in the woods, trails, and LOVES blueberries. He dislikes...well, not a lot!
If this little man tickles your fancy, vote for him in the 2017 Men's Health Magazine Dog Contest! Johnny Cash is in the running for exhibiting bravery and surviving a rough start in life. We'll say!
Voting is open until Monday, April 24th, and you can vote for him with this link. Let's help Johnny win!
