The City of Seattle and VividMatterCollective have joined forces to properly recreate and preserve the fading Black Lives Matter mural in Capitol Hill. The Collective, comprised of the 16 artists who painted the original piece in June, gathered this week to remove, repaint and make permanent the "landmark celebrating progress and change during this unprecedented time in Seattle’s history." The mural is located on Pine St. between 10th and 11th Avenues. For a more detailed look at each letter, and a spotlight of the individual artists - check out this gallery.
