First of all - Pearl Jam is headlining two concerts at Safeco Field in August 2018 and second of all, they are pledging a minimum of $1 million toward homelessness initiatives in Seattle.

The local band announced "The Home Shows" this morning (January 22), making this their first hometown appearance in five years.

This will be also the largest headlining concert event in Seattle since The Rolling Stones came for two nights at the Kingdome back in 1981.

Not only is the concert likely to be epic, but the band is simultaneouslty spotlighting efforts to end homelessness in our city.

Alongside their own hefty donation, they are asking the public to set a goal of raising a minimum of $10 million towards homelessness. Beneficiaries will be announced closer to the show dates.

PEARL JAM, man! They are the freakin' best.

The Home Shows will be on Wednesday, August 8 and Friday, August 10, 2018.

Ticket sales will be announced in the next couple of weeks so be prepared for an update! Click here to learn more about The Home Shows.
