If you're missing the bustle of Pike Place Market, food tour company Savor Seattle may just have a fix for you.
You might remember Savor Seattle from other articles we've written; in a non-quarantined world, they give a mean tour of our city's iconic landmark. But that landmark, and many of its cherished vendors, are suffering right now. Think of our usually bustling tourist season (spring/summer), and then think of all the foot traffic the Market is noticeably not receiving right now.
While it may not be feasible or realistic for you to head to the Market, Savor Seattle has created a way to bring the market to you.
Their Iconic Market Box will feature rotating items from Pike Place Market, including fresh flower bouquets, whole bean coffee and fresh produce. Each box supports eight different vendors, as well as including a donation to the Pike Place Market Safety Net Fund, which supports those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
This week's box will be made up of Frank's Quality Produce, fresh flowers, a four-pack of piroshkis, Middle Fork Roasters whole bean coffee, pickled green Hungarian peppers, Uli's famous sausage, handmade cheese and more.
Customers will also be able to shop from Weekly Featured Partners, like a winery or restaurant, and buy items separately or add them to their delivery. New items will be announced by Wednesday of each week.
Boxes are available for pickup or delivery and can be purchased for $124.99 at shop.savorseattletours.com.
