Bellevue Zip Tours opened last weekend for the first time to the general public. The course, located in Eastgate Park off I-90 in Bellevue, has seven zip lines 80 feet off the ground, and two suspension bridges. The course is open Friday-Sunday through June, and then seven days a week starting in July. Find out times and get tickets online. (Image: Joshua Lewis / Seattle Refined)

New zipline in Bellevue is now open

You may think ziplining is something done only on a Costa-Rican vacation, but prepare to be amazed. Bellevue Zip Tours is now open in Eastgate Park to the general public.

The City of Bellevue and Northwest Teambuilding teamed up (pun intended) to create a seven zip line course in Eastgate Park (right of I-90 and I-405).

If you've ever been there, you'll know that Eastgate Park is filled with towering maples and Douglas-Firs; perfect to support you and beautiful to look at as you zip around 80 feet off the ground.

Perhaps most impressive is the enthusiastic team at Bellevue Zip - all incredibly friendly, helpful, and witty. Also important; they're all trained and certified to Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) standards.

As the Grand Opening was only last weekend, Bellevue Zip Tours expects to be incredibly busy during their first summer open to the public. Through June they're only going to be open weekends, but once July hits every day of the week is fair game.

Tours are approximately 2.5 hours (depending on how big of a group you go with), and $69 per adult, $44 for kids. While the riding age minimum is 9, riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

If you're not afraid of heights, and looking for a fun new adventure to fill up some beautiful PNW afternoon, we encourage you to check out Bellevue Zip. They'll treat you well! Buy tickets and check out tour schedules online.
