Happy Independent Book Store Day!

Bookworms, unite!

Saturday, April 29th is Independent Book Store Day which means we MUST celebrate. There are quite a few local bookstores that will be participating and each book store will have a partaaay, exclusive merchandise, author appearances, giveaways, and the “Indie Bookstore Challenge.”

What's the Indie Book Store Challenge you ask? The “Indie Bookstore Challenge” is for those of you who are true, through and through independent book store go-ers (which you should be), and want to show it off. Only the strong will survive...Each participant will get a passport where you can visit 19 book stores and get a stamp to receive 25 percent off at all participating stores for a year. BOO-YA.

And if you’re less hardcore than most, with three stamps you will be entered to win book store gift cards. Hey, at least it's something.

Here’s the list of participating book stores:

  • Ada’s Technical Books
  • Book Larder
  • BookTree Kirkland
  • Eagle Harbor Books
  • Edmonds Bookshop
  • Elliott Bay Book Co
  • Fantagraphics Books
  • Island Books
  • Magnolia’s Bookstore
  • The Neverending Bookshop
  • Open Books: A Poem Emporium
  • Phinney Books
  • Queen Anne Book Company
  • Seattle Mystery Bookshop
  • Secret Garden Books
  • The Traveler
  • all locations of Liberty Bay Books
  • Third Place Books
  • University Book Store

Happy reading! :)
