Welcome to the Metaphysical Library of Seattle, legally known as the "As You Like It Library". An elusive spot, even to born and raised Seattleites, it's a must see for lovers of all things zany. The library opened in 1961 and has moved several times over the decades, from downtown to Capitol Hill to its current digs in Ballard.

The store is hidden in plain view - it lives in a basement just off Market Street, where it's been for 14 years now. The Metaphysical Library is not technically allowed to have signage on the street, further adding to its mystique. Packed to the brim with obscure books, tapes, rare documents and more; it's easy to get lost in the towering stacks.

Featuring extensive collections of books on government involvement, gnosis and conspiracy theories galore, you'll definitely learn something new cruising this quirky book mecca.

The library keeps unique hours and hosts loads of events, so be sure to call in before visiting!
