Easter Basket Goodies for all the kids (and grown-ups) in your life

Easter baskets overflowing with candy treats and chocolate bunnies are delightful but the sugar crash afterwards are often not as great. Here are some non-candy Easter Basket ideas to crowd out the candy and fill up the basket.

The Baby/Toddler Basket

Baskets for babies can be the cutest when packed with a knit bunny hat from Mark and Graham, Runaway Bunny board book from University Bookstore, Bunny Rattles from Manzanita Kids and a Umberheart hand embroidered bunny. All babies can carry off a bunny hat, knit in soft yarn. Runaway Bunny is a classic tale perfect for Easter and Manzanita’s organic bunny wood rattle is a special gift for wee hands. Umberheart's stuffed rabbit has floppy ears and is stuffed with organic cotton fill for the cuddliest of hugs.

The Preschool Set

Most preschoolers have a deep love for candy but they’ll also enjoy a basket filled with things they can play with! Add a package of Seedles and fill your yard with color. Each seedle is packed with a variety of different, native wildflowers for your region. Add some Careful it Bites mini yetis as a fun travel buddy for your kiddo. They also have sasquatch toys for the true PNW lover. Toss in a few books to round out their basket. Pete the Cat’s Big Easter Adventure and Marshmallow are fun books that incorporate an Easter theme. Round out the basket with Kata Golda’s Spring Finger Puppets from Port Townsend.

The School Aged Easter Basket

Stock this basket with a unique Pacific Northwest themed coloring book, “Drawn to Color”, featuring original art from over 20 children’s book illustrators. Aspiring gardeners will love hearing about The Children’s Garden. This illustrated tale features a real children’s garden, here in Seattle. Lego fans will chirp with joy over the Lego Chick. Toss in some sidewalk chalk and a big chocolate bunny for a basket that is sure to please. Pack in a fantastic Target Easter basket for a sure to please treat!

The Grown-up Basket

Why should kids get all the fun? Adults deserve an Easter basket too. Throw in a fine bottle of wine with these Easter Bunny Faces Salad Plate Set and a fun Happy Easter Mug. Dress it up with Easter Towels. Don’t forget to include some Theo Chocolate!
