Evita
I walked into the Black Rooster Pub in D.C. for our first date. I was apologetic because I was late and he was just so quiet. So, my first memory of him is me jabbering away and him just being very reserved and shy.

Chris
My first memory of Evita was that she was running late, and I was feeling let down. However she came in with her bubbly attitude and chattering that cheered me up.

Evita
I am so proud of all of his accomplishments. He's grown a lot professionally in the past few years. I just know he can do anything he sets his mind to do and he'll be successful at it. I am also proud of his integrity. He always tries to do the right thing and do right by others- whether it's professionally or personally. Not a lot of people do that.

Chris
I'm proud of how she is always responsive and ready to help anybody. This can be frustrating at times, especially when you want personal alone time, but she is the most helpful person I know, which is a great quality.

Evita
I knew I loved him when I felt so badly for quitting a part time gig after just 6 weeks because I got a full time, salaried position. He was so supportive and excited for me. He told me not to feel badly at all. I knew then he was a keeper - because he had my back.

Chris
I knew I loved her when I was away in Guam for 3 weeks without her. I was always aloof before I met her, but she has changed me for the better, and I can't stand being away from her for any extended period of time. I'll deal with her taking up 90% of the bed.

Evita
We have so many inside jokes, and sayings that no one else really understands. Whenever we disagree or argue, we always find a way to laugh about it in the end. I'd say our way of arguing doesn't feel like arguing. It feels like a funny conversation.

Chris
We seem to always be on the same page on just about everything, or can always come to a decision without feelings of dissent.

Evita
I knew he'd asked my parents for permission to marry me back in December. So, I kept thinking maybe he'll ask on Valentine's Day, my birthday, etc. All those days came and went. Then I started thinking he's going to do it when we go to Italy. Then he told me had an event in DC the weekend before our trip, so I got all ready. He looked very cute and handsome. We went to this garden and I kept thinking, what kind of event is this. He had told me it was a wine thing. We started walking around, and then we sat on a bench, and he got down one knee and asked me. He'd had a photographer there and had my family even my Grandfather came from Seattle. It was the sweetest thing ever! Then we got to go to Italy!

Chris
It was no surprise to her that I was going to propose - eventually. We discussed it, as all couples should. I asked both of her parents for permission, as they were both equally influential in her upbringing, and have both equally been kind and accepting of me. I coordinated for several months with her mom and sister to try and plan a great proposal, and to at least keep this special day a secret from Evita. I proposed to Evita in Dumbarton Oaks Gardens in Georgetown - Washington, DC, and even hired a professional photographer to capture the moment.

Evita
I love the fact that he's a great listener. He always listens and really hears what I have to say. He always want to make sure that my viewpoints and what I want is heard. He's also very open minded and down to try new things with me. We balance each other very well. I tend be calm when he's very rarely not calm. And he's always calm when I am freaking out about some random thing.

Chris
I love how friendly she is and social she is with every single person she comes across. This is definitely a trait that has rubbed off on me, albeit slowly. After knowing her for as long as I have, I only know of a few public figures that she has a distaste for, but no one that she has actually ever met.

Evita
He's the most loyal person I have ever met. He's good people- very genuinely nice. He's actually a softie. He'll always tell me he loves me or text me cute nicknames in the middle of the day. We communicate very well.

Chris
My favorite quality of her is that she is very expressive, which makes it very easy to read her. It's also really cute, because when she is happy, she is quirky and fun, and makes me laugh just because of her energy and sense of humor.

Evita
I love it when he has the perfect amount of scruffiness. It's that window of time 3-4 days after shaving, where's it just a perfect amount of scruff.

Chris
The sexiest thing about her is that she looks extremely cute in any type of scenario, whether it is working out at the gym or bundled up in a ton of sweaters when it is cold outside.

Evita
One of my favorite traditions, is when he makes fun of me on a weekly basis for "lying" about what type coffee I liked when we first started dating. I wanted to seem impressive so I said I liked black coffee when in reality I like pumpkin spice lattes. We go every weekend to local coffee shops to grab coffee together and he'll always bring up the fact that I said I liked black coffee!

Chris
Every morning I take our dog Teddy for his walk, and proceed to pack my bag for the week. Without fail, I always give her a quick cuddle and a message with a kiss and wish her a good day and that I can't wait to see her again. In the cold weather, I also like to give her a jolt by touching her face with my freezing hands.
