Documenting Love: Chandler and Molly's Story

*Note from Seattle Refined: We could not be more excited that photographer/blogger/genius Alexandra Celia has joined our team here at Seattle Refined. She has devoted her career to documenting love in its purest and most original form - which you'll see in her photos. Every now and then she will share her work with couples: their love story, their commitment, their passion....and of course, their photos. Think of her as our Love Guru. She loves love, and is here to share it with the rest of us. Next up, the story of Chandler and Molly - as told to each other.

Molly

"We first met in college, at a fraternity party my friend had dragged me to against my will. We honestly just linked eyes almost instantly from across the room, which is pretty weird considering it was a big party with tons of people. We were inseparable the rest of the night, and pretty much every night after. He was wearing this horrible orange beanie that I grew to really dislike but that night I loved it and in most of our pictures I'm wearing it. Chandler will call it "peacocking" saying he specifically wore bright colors to catch people's attention."

Chandler

"Molly and I deepen our understanding of one another through our playfulness cuddling, giggling, gazing, into one another eyes, tickle battles (she's the only one who's ticklish) and late night gym or yoga or meditation sessions by the fire."

Molly

"I admire Chandler's drive and passion. He's a dreamer, but is actively working towards pursuing his dreams. I really think the world needs more people like him. There are too many people stuck in boxes of what they think is safe. I'd say I'm more of a realist so we compliment each other that way."

Chandler

"When things get tough, Molly and I get through hardships with green tea and nature walks."

Molly

"I admire his kindness. He goes out of his way to give every single person in a room a compliment. If you told me you'd heard him talking badly about another person with malicious intent, I would never believe you. I think I try to be a kind person and try to have compassion but sometimes I don't. But Chandler embodies those traits and genuinely loves people, no matter what."

Chandler

"Molly is the sexiest woman on the planet. Her smile is super bright, her skin and hair look like they're made out of gold and silver. She looks like a mermaid who traded her tail for legs. But most of all its her inner fire. She's always trying to help people and inspire me. Her mind is what turns me on most. She was a Mary Gates scholar and is involved in protecting the environment, community building, and her tribe (Tlingit). On top of it all, she makes beautiful art and awesome vegan baked goods."

Molly

"When it comes to hardship, we tackle things together. Something I've done for Chandler constantly after his mom's death, is trying to talk about her. Even little things like bringing up a movie she loved. I know how much he misses her and I try to keep her with us as much as I can."

Chandler

"She's everything I could dream of and more. I'll love her from this life to the next, whether we are birds, bees, trees, or even insects.

I'll never forget the day we met. I was talking to a group of girls when I saw her big gentle smile flicker across the room and I decided to walk straight over to her. She said hi my name is Molly. I asked her to play beer pong. We won, had our first kiss that night, first date the next day and it's been happily ever after, ever since."
